Knowledge base

Here you will find some helpful tips and answers to common questions people ask when using the EASy application.

General

For help with your application, check your state’s EASy homepage for the best way to reach your Endorsement Coordinator. Many coordinators share their email address, host office hours, or offer one-on-one meetings and are happy to help! TECHNICAL ISSUES — Your coordinator can typically help with login, submission, and application questions. If EASy is not working correctly—for example, a page will not load, information will not save, or you receive an error—select “Support” and submit a technical ticket. Trying another browser or device, or trying again later, may also resolve the issue. PAYMENTS — Don’t worry if a fee remains in your cart after you have paid. This can happen if “Return to Merchant” was not selected, even though your payment was successful. You can verify the payment through your financial institution. Your coordinator will also see your payment and submission and will contact you if there are any issues.

Common issues can prevent you from logging in to the EASy system:

  1. Your user account will not be activated until your application has been accepted by your association's Endorsement Coordinator. Once accepted, you will receive an email with your login credentials from the EASy server.
  2. Please note! EASy requires your browser to accept cookies from this server in order to ensure secure connections while accessing your personal data. If you are having issues logging in, please verify that your browser is accepting cookies from this server.
  3. Make sure that you are logging in to the correct “instance” of EASy- meaning that the drop-down tab at the top of the page is set to the state/country in which you are getting endorsed (where you reside).
  4. Remember that your login is your full email address- (the one that your registered with). You can reset your password on the home page if you don’t remember it.
  5. Reach out to your Endorsement Coordinator if you continue to have difficulties logging in.
Professionals across the globe who work with or on behalf of pregnant people, infants, young children, families, or caregivers can pursue IMH-E® (primarily focused on ages 0–3), ECMH-E® (primarily focused on ages 3–6), or both—whether they already use IECMH principles and practices or want to become more informed. Registering to apply provides a pathway for learning about and integrating IECMH principles and practices into your work in any setting, including direct service, supervision, leadership, consultation, education, research, policy, and systems change. The application guides you through the competencies you will demonstrate and helps you identify areas where additional training or experience may be helpful. You will select the category that best reflects your role, experience, and scope of work. Many professionals later add another category to demonstrate the breadth of their work. Each application becomes a little easier because relevant information can be transferred from a previous application. If your state or country does not have an Association for Infant Mental Health with its own EASy site, select “IECMH International Institute” from the state/country drop-down menu when beginning your application. If an Association in your state or country later begins offering IECMH Endorsement®, your application will be transferred to its EASy site.

  • Mental Health Mentor applicants, successfully complete the written exam
  • Once endorsed, begin using the IMH-E® or ECMH-E® credential after your name

  • Active IMH association membership is typically required, and you will enter the membership expiration date in EASy.
  • Use a personal email address if possible and remember to check your junk mail for EASy communications.
  • In most instances, uploading a resume is optional. You will have the opportunity to add it to your application after registration as well, if desired.
  • If you are unsure which Endorsement category best fits your scope of practice, reach out to the Endorsement Coordinator. The category can be changed by the Endorsement Coordinator after you register, if needed.
  • Supervision

RSC is distinct due to the shared exploration of the parallel process. That is, attention to all of the relationships is important, including the ones between practitioner and supervisor, between practitioner and parent, and between parent and infant/toddler. It is critical to understand how each of these relationships affects the others. Of additional importance, reflective supervision/consultation relates to professional and personal development within one’s discipline by attending to the emotional content of the work and how reactions to the content affect the work. Finally, there is often greater emphasis on the supervisor/consultant’s ability to listen and wait, allowing the supervisee to discover solutions, concepts and perceptions on his/her own without interruption from the supervisor/consultant.
